Victoria Chorale returns with a special twist to its annual concert at Esplanade's Concert Hall. Singapore's award-winning choir challenges your preconceptions of choral music and the art of singing with a demanding range of works from the ancient to the contemporary.
From ritualistic Indonesian melodies inspired by the fiery Balinese kechak dance, to comical Italian laments about married life - you've never seen Victoria Chorale more versatile.
To celebrate 20 exciting and successful years of singing, the evening will revisit Victoria Chorale's colourful history from the time of its inception in 1987, commemorating the best of past achievements with works by composers like Eric Whitacre, Luigi Dallapiccola, Ko Matsushita and Goh Toh Chai.
Also not to be missed are pieces from the choir's performance at the 2006 World Choir Games, where it emerged champion of the Sacred Music A Cappella category.
Come join in as Victoria Chorale pays tribute to the music that has propelled it to international acclaim.
